SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE

Smash Ultimate tournament overlays for OBS

A scoreboard and your double elimination bracket on stream, connected to your Start.gg event. And what no other overlay knows: the head to head between these two, and how long the regulars have been showing up.

Free during the open beta. No credit card.

The basics, done properly

The next set, in one click

Your Start.gg stream queue sits in the control room. Click the set you are about to run: both players, their flags, the round and the number of games land on the overlay.

Your bracket, on screen

Winners side and losers side, straight from Start.gg. No screenshot to crop while the stream waits.

What makes Rovto different

Tell the story of your competitive scene

Every overlay tool can show you a score. What none of them knows is that these two have met four times this season, or that the player on the left has been showing up every month for two years. Rovto keeps that memory, and puts it on screen.

Regulars, recognised

A small badge next to a name says this is their twelfth time at your weekly. The wording and the threshold are yours, and nothing shows for a first-timer, because a first entry is not a statistic.

The kind of detail that makes someone feel part of a scene rather than a line in a bracket.

Head to head

How many sets each has won against the other, and how the last meetings went, with the event and the round. It comes from the past editions of your series, imported once from Start.gg.

Players are matched by their Start.gg id, not by name: a tag change does not break the record.

From a Start.gg link to your first set

1

Paste your Start.gg tournament link

Rovto reads every event it contains, with its entrant count, and creates the ones you tick. A tournament with Smash Ultimate singles and a doubles side event becomes two control rooms in one go.

2

Make it yours, then import it into OBS

6 scenes are ready in your colours and with your logo, nothing to design. Or open the editor and rebuild them entirely with your own images, videos and fonts, drag and drop. Either way you download one OBS collection, sources positioned and named, with a Stream Deck profile if you want one.

3

Drive the match from one page

Score and round winners update on air in real time. From a phone too, when you are running the venue rather than sitting at the desk.

Questions organisers ask

Does it read the Bo3 and Bo5 from Start.gg?

Rovto picks up the number of games announced by the Start.gg round, when the organiser has set it, and many never do. First-to and first-to-point wordings are not carried by Start.gg at all: you set them in Rovto, from your schedule or on the Match page, and the scoreboard follows immediately.

Do I have to use Start.gg?

No. Start.gg saves you the typing, it is never required. You can run a Smash Ultimate tournament in Rovto with no bracket tool at all: enter the two players and drive the score.

Can I import my previous editions?

Yes, and it is worth the ten minutes. Paste the Start.gg links of your past editions: Rovto imports the players, counts how many times each has entered, and builds the head to head records between them. Players are matched by their Start.gg id, so a tag change along the way does not split someone in two.

Can I show the characters each player uses?

In the control room, yes: you record up to 3 favourite characters per player, out of the full roster, DLC included. Their portraits show right there while you prepare the set. On air, not yet: the overlay carries the players, the score and the bracket, and characters are next on the list.

What does it cost?

Free during the open beta, with every feature unlocked. After that, a free account stays free, a single tournament costs 8.99 €, and a pass covers a recurring event or your whole organisation.
